There’s something about Omar Apollo that makes us unable to look away. Maybe it’s his groovy dance moves, charisma, delicious hot sauce (now available at Taco Bell!), or beautiful lyricism. Or maybe it’s all four. Regardless, we are obsessed with Omar Apollo and can’t get enough of him! That’s why we decided to catch him live on the God Said No Tour a few weeks ago. It was one of our favorite tours thus far this year, so we had to share with you all our favorite moments.
Omar recently performed at The Momentary in Northwest Arkansas and performed all our favorite songs from the new album. Check out some exclusive photos from that night! 👇
The Dancing
If you’re not a major Omar Apollo fan, you may not know that the ‘Evergreen’ singer has a few dance moves up his sleeve. Omar grew up dancing and now blesses us with moves each night on tour. Inspired by Michael Jackson, Omar literally glides around the stage with his amazing backup dancers, and it was so mesmerizing to watch. The talent is unmatched in our very humble opinion! Our favorite dance break moment happened during ‘Less Of You’ – we wish we could relive that moment forever!

The Production
Omar really said, “Lights, Camera, Action!” If you love live shows that have a heavy emphasis on lighting, costuming, and overall stage production, you’ll fall right in love with the God Said No Tour. There are simply too many beautiful moments to shout out, but we loved the halfway mark of the show when Omar changed outfits and emerged under a bright blue bulb. Each of the backup dancers had small spotlights on the singer. We also loved the special moment at the beginning of the show when the lights flickered and started flashing the colors of the rainbow in accordance with the beat of the music. Shout out to Omar’s lighting team!
The Setlist
One thing is for certain – Omar Apollo does not have a single bad song. The setlist for this show was perfect, both for new fans and OG fans. He featured songs from his iconic Ivory album, as well as Apolonio and of course, God Said No. Some of our favorite songs from the new album are ‘Glow,’ ‘Drifting,’ and ‘How,’ which all made the setlist.
Our all-time favorite Omar Apollo song is ‘3 Boys,’ so you can imagine how ecstatic we were when we realized it made the setlist! You can also expect to hear the popular ‘Evergreen’ and ‘Want U Around (feat. Ruel).’ We could talk about Omar’s iconic discography all day, but that’s an article for another day…
Fan Engagement
It’s no secret that Omar Apollo has an incredible sense of humor, so if you are planning on attending the God Said No Tour, be prepared to be fully entertained by Omar’s charisma. He may or may not sing some impromptu songs that aren’t on the setlist (if you ask nicely) and bring out the queen herself, Diana Vosh (if you know, you know).
It’s also no secret that Omar adores his fans, and we adore him just as much! You can catch Omar’s fans sporting his merch (which we had to purchase, of course) and wearing shades during the duration of the show.
