Harry Strange’s performance of his new EP, Watch Me Trying, at The Lower Third in London was not just a gig but an immersive experience that captivated us all.

Blair Davie, who opened the night, was the perfect support act to set the tone for the evening. Their honest, heartfelt songs resonated deeply with the audience, who quickly warmed to their raw and genuine energy. Blair’s newly released single, ‘Prague,’ was a standout moment of the set and we loved hearing it live! As far as new talent goes, Blair Davie is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.

Harry Strange

The moment Harry Strange stepped into the spotlight at the London venue, the room was filled with incredible energy. It’s his unreal vocals. It’s the raw emotions he skillfully weaves into each song. It’s the fact that listening to him always gives us chills and this time was no different.

The best thing about Harry and his band is the way they perform together. They are always checking in with each other, making it look like they are good friends having fun on stage. We could see it at the start of every song—Harry was jumping around, connecting with each band member before fully losing himself in the performance. This vibe spread right into the audience. It made us feel confident enough to also lose ourselves in the songs and feel the lyrics on a deeper level.

The intimate size of the venue lets the fans get as close as possible. We could even find ourselves face-to-face with the artist, singing our favorite lyrics right back at him! Our favorite moment was when Harry literally jumped into the crowd, moshing with the audience, blurring the line between artist and fan, and making everyone feel a true sense of connection.

Harry’s set was a perfect blend of high-energy and slow, vulnerable songs. This dynamic balance kept us all hooked from start to finish. One moment, the room was buzzing with upbeat tracks accompanied by the incredible energy of Harry and his band, and the next, he’d slow it down with those deep, intimate lyrics that made it feel like we were listening to our closest friend pouring his heart out.

From well-known by the whole crowd god damn shamefrom his previous EP to ‘Version of Me or ‘When I Said That I Loved You’ from the newest EP Watch Me Trying – the mix of emotions built an incredible atmosphere, leaving everyone wanting more. As soon as Harry left the stage, you could hear the crowd going wild and chanting “one more song!,” clearly showing that we were not ready for the night to end, but honestly, could we ever be?
