Alpine’s Pierre Gasly will reach a personal landmark as he prepares to celebrate his 150th career start in F1 at the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

In doing so, the 28-year-old joins his Alpine team mate Esteban Ocon – who also reached the same milestone earlier this season in Baku – in achieving the tally in 2024 with the French squad.

To mark the pair’s achievements, F1 are giving away a pair of Ocon and Gasly’s boots from their respective 150th Grand Prix starts, which you can enter here.

Gasly’s journey to 150 starts has seen him enjoy plenty of success over the years, after he earned his Formula 1 debut with Toro Rosso at the 2017 Malaysian Grand Prix. His strong performances at the end of that year secured him a full-time seat for the following season and, in 2019, he achieved his first F1 podium, finishing an impressive second at Interlagos.

In 2020, he delivered a stunning victory at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, driving for AlphaTauri. This win made him the first French driver to triumph in Formula 1 since Olivier Panis at Monaco in 1996 and has lived long in the memory for many fans. While Gasly was unable to celebrate with a passionate Monza crowd due to Covid restrictions at the time, he did receive a congratulatory call from French President Emmanuel Macron.
