“Remember, remember the 20th of November,” because this was when we got the hard hitter from A.C.E, ‘PINATA.’ After a packed year of a comeback with four out of the five members, singles constantly dropped, and a tour; this is their first official comeback as a full group since completing their military service. We’re over the moon that the boys are back, and that release is, simply put, a banger.
A.C.E comebacks tend to leave us in awe, and we can confirm that ‘PINATA’ has us astonished. It brings us back to the more intense tracks of the group, yet somehow different. And we love it! This is how A.C.E show us that they continue to grow as artists, and their stage presence is absolutely mesmerizing.
“It’s the boys, we back, baby” at the very beginning was more than enough for us to know this would hit hard. And, when it comes to A.C.E, even the simplest-looking music video turns out to be something more. Mostly choreography-focused, the clip for ‘PINATA’ is an artistic release that we can’t stop watching. The various angles of the camera shots are so well thought out to perfectly highlight the dance’s many details. We keep rewatching and still feel absolutely amazed: it just doesn’t get old (we’ve rewatched a bunch of times, like the good little CHOICE we are).
A Concept To Remember
The group knows how to create epic concepts, music, and choreographies. We have been eating up all the teasers leading to the release of the single album PINATA, with all their dark vibes and deeply impactful messages. Addressing negative emotions in specially prepared short clips was already getting us hooked, but making them linked like a test had us fully sold.
And if to seal the deal, A.C.E dropped an absolutely grand performance trailer to the sounds of their intro song, ‘Recuerda, recuerda.’ It’s official: this is one of our most favorite concepts from the group so far. With the idea of locking negative emotions inside of a piñata and the boys here to help us work on them, how can we not be in love with everything about this comeback? It is simply impossible.
