MANILA, Philippines — Jema Galanza more than made up for missing Creamline’s previous showdown with Choco Mucho four months ago by leading the Cool Smashers to another victory over the Flying Titans in the PVL Tuesday night.

Galanza erupted for a game-high 24 points as Creamline beat Choco Mucho for the 16th time in their last 17 meetings, 25-22, 25-20, 30-32, 25-20, to stay unbeaten in the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference in front of 9,551 fans at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Ito yung comfort zone ko,” said Galanza, who missed her team’s sweep of Choco Mucho in the Reinforced Conference last August 17 due to a stint with Alas Pilipinas.

“Regardless kung sino kalaban. Parang lagi naman kung sino kalaban namin, laging ganito rin naman nilalaro, so I think ganun din yung energy ng audience na nabibigay sa amin. Lahat naman,” Galanza said.

Galanza admitted that Sisi Rondina and the Flying Titans have always been a tough opponent for them and the neck-and-neck third set was a testament to it.

Galanza is grateful that the Cool Smashers’ character and composure helped them overcome the Flying Titans despite giving up 34 errors.

Marami pang mangyayari. For sure, mag-aadjust yung mga kalaban,” she said.

Creamline hopes to end the year with a 4-0 record against ZUS Coffee on December 12 at Philsports Arena.
