Indian batters struggle in Australia
After bowling out for just 100 in the series opener, the Indian women’s team scored 249 while chasing 372 in the second ODI to not only lost the second match but also the series.
There were high hopes from India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, but her performance in the two matches let the team down.
Richa Ghosh, who got the promotion to play as an opener, hit a fifty. None of the other batter were able to cross even the 50-run mark in the big run-chase game, as a result the Indian team fell short by 122 runs.
