Everyone say thank you right off the bat to Kelsea Ballerini for rolling up that welcome mat and making 2024 the era of healing! We got to see Kelsea truly come into her own this year and make the best music of her career, and she didn’t have to be heartbroken while doing so! She showed us that you can break toxic patterns, learn from them, and come out of it stronger. And of course, she announced her 2025 tour, which we will be front row for!
Let’s jump into all the things that made this year so special for Kelsea Ballerini!
PATTERNS
As we said earlier, PATTERNS is Kelsea fully in her healing era. This record chronicles what it’s like to break PATTERNS to allow yourself to roll back out that welcome mat and start to fall in love with someone, with yourself, and with life. Kelsea played with genre on this record, with pop being an obvious influence, and with each song managing to feel singular while feeling sonically cohesive when you look at the bigger picture. PATTERNS was a complete home run, and we feel so lucky to get to have this record to turn to.
One Night Only At Madison Square Garden
For any musical artist, MSG is a dream venue. It’s one of those staples that all the greats have passed through, so it makes complete sense that it’s the venue where Kelsea decided she wanted to have an album release party. As monumental and important as that night was for Kelsea, it’s clear that the fans that attended felt that magic as well. Playing and selling out MSG seamlessly is the dream, and of course, Kelsea Ballerini has achieved that.
‘Cowboys Cry Too’ Grammy Nomination
In our opinion, one of the greatest collaborations released this year came courtesy of Noah Kahan and Kelsea Ballerini. This record blended their two vocal stylings perfectly and allowed their folk-country worlds to seamlessly exist. And as much as we love this collaboration, it’s obvious the GRAMMYs do too as it scored a nomination! We are crossing our fingers that ‘Cowboys Cry Too’ wins!
