‘Greedy’
We aspire to be as confident as Tate McRae is in her hit song (and certified baddie anthem) ‘greedy.’ The 21-year-old Canadian singer warns men not to get too greedy in their pursuit of her while maintaining that she would want herself too.
The song rightfully earned McRae the number 3 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and catapulted her into stardom.
At this point, we don’t know if Tate is spelled T-A-T-E or Q-U-E-E-N.
‘Grave’
While ‘greedy‘ serves as the butt-shaking, hair-whipping anthem of our dreams, ‘grave’ slows things down a bit.
McRae’s dynamic, raspy tone is on full display as she laments trying to hold onto a toxic relationship that’s going nowhere. There is something about how she sings, “You can only dig the grave so deep, you can only try to save something that’s not already gone.” that completely breaks our hearts!
We all know Tate McRae is an incredible dancer and holds an insane face card, but this song is a great example of her vocal ability and demonstrates her versatility well.
‘She’s All I Wanna Be’
This next track is easily one of our favorite Tate McRae songs – which is saying a lot, given her amazing discography.
In this 2022 upbeat pop song, Tate sings about the all-too-relatable jealousy one can have when someone else catches their partner’s eye. It’s no wonder the YouTube comments for the official audio are filled with listeners sharing how deeply the song resonates with them.
But the song delivers a powerful reminder: the best person you can be is yourself. And if anyone tries to tell you otherwise? They’re the problem, not you.
‘Boy X’
Every artist has at least one criminally underrated song. That’s ‘boy x’ for Tate McRae.
The song is about resilience and the power of womanhood, as McRae warns her ex to treat his new girlfriend better than he treated her. The pop star captures the sentimentality of heartbreak perfectly. It is whimsical, dream-like, and perfect for a road trip with your friends.
We can’t get enough and know you won’t be able to either!
‘It’s Ok I’m Ok’
We would be remiss if we didn’t include Tate’s hot single ‘It’s ok I’m ok’ on this list. We have had the song on repeat since it dropped because it eats so badly!
If you’re not walking around your house going, “It’s ok, you can have him anyway,” after listening to this, you’re missing out on a good time. It’s giving *she never makes a bad song*.
