The Bridgerton phenomenon just won’t let up. It seems like only yesterday that we were swooning over season 1 and eagerly awaiting season 2. After two very successful seasons, Netflix swiftly gave the green light to not just one but two more seasons of our beloved Regency drama. Now that we’ve seen Colin and Penelope’s love story play out in Bridgerton season 3, it’s time to look forward to Bridgerton season 4.

When it comes to love, Bridgerton does not hold back. The series is unapologetically passionate, transforming the age-old courtship dance into a full-fledged ballet of emotions. If we were to take a shot for every stolen glance or dramatic declaration of love, we would be quite indisputably under the table within a single episode, and there’s surely more of that to come in Bridgerton season 4.

Here’s everything we know about Bridgerton season 4 so far.

Bridgerton season 4 plot

In an interview with Variety, executive producer Shonda Rhimes said:

“There are eight Bridgerton siblings, and as far as I’m concerned, there are eight Bridgerton seasons. And maybe more.”

And I absolutely agree with Rhimes on that one.

Thankfully, we already know that the second son, Benedict, will lead Bridgerton season 4. The upcoming season will adapt the third book in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton series, An Offer from a Gentleman, in which Benedict falls in love during a masquerade ball. The only catch? He doesn’t know who he fell in love with. (Yes, this is basically a retelling of Cinderella.) How will he react when he finds out that he danced with a woman cast out by society? And how will she deal with falling in love with someone from such an influential family? You’ll have to watch the show to find out (or, of course, you can read the book, too).

So, since we know that Benedict will be the lead, we already know that the lovely Luke Thompson is set to reprise his role. Cast as his leading lady is the gorgeous Yerin Ha, who will take on the role of Sophie Baek (in the book, she’s called Sophie Beckett).

Also returning for season 4 are various members of the Bridgerton family, including Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, Simone Ashley as Kate Bridgerton, Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Bridgerton, Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton, Ruth Gemmell as Violet Bridgerton, Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton, Hannah Dodd as Francesca Stirling, Florence Hunt as Hyacinth Bridgerton, and Will Tilston as Gregory Bridgerton. There’s no word on whether Phoebe Dynevor will reprise her role as Daphne.

Other familiar faces, like Adjoa Andoh’s Lady Danbury, Golda Rosheuvel’s Queen Charlotte, Victor Alli’s John Stirling, Daniel Francis’ Marcus Anderson, and Hugh Sachs’ Brimsley, will all return too, as will Martins Imhangbe and Emma Naomi as the Mondrichs. Julie Andrews will reprise her role as the voice of Lady Whistledown, too, despite the dramatic reveal in season 3’s final episode.

Three new major cast members are joining this season as well: Katie Leung will portray Lady Araminta Gun, Sophie’s evil stepmother; Michelle Mao will play Rosamund Li, Araminta’s eldest daughter; and Isabella Wei will portray Posy Li, Rosumand’s younger sister.

Bridgerton season 4 release window

The release date for season 4 of Bridgerton has yet to be officially announced. It’s in production now, and Netflix revealed a sneak peek at the beginning of March 2o25. You can watch it below. Hopefully, this means we’ll see Bridgerton season 4 premiere at the end of this year, though since this is Netflix, there’s a solid chance we’ll have to wait until 2026.

While waiting for season 4, you can catch up on all things Bridgerton on Netflix as we keep our fingers crossed for more Regency-era news to come our way.
