His performances helped MI dismantle the KKR batting lineup and slowly controlled the game. With constant dismissals and no support for the scoreboard, KKR was bundled up for 116 in 16 overs. MI have an easy target to chase at their home and win at last after their underwhelming start.
Rickelton guide Mumbai towards Victory
Mumbai started off with a strong start, even though Rohit Sharma Mumbai’s hunger to finish it early, he was dismissed by Russell. Ryan Rickelton led the chase for Mumbai, he managed to amass 62* in 41 balls. In his 41 ball stint he managed to hit four boundaries and five maximums against KKR.
Mumbai Indians win by eight wickets, and have gained back their winning confidence. With this win, Mumbai climb onto the 6th spot, and are in contention for the playoff spot, after their disheartening start to their IPL 2025. KKR will need to find the balance back in their team to defend their title.
