MANILA, Philippines—FilAm Nation Select-USA remained  the king of the Smart-NBTC National Finals following its win over Phenom Blue Fire-Pasay at Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.

The FilAm Nation squad defeated Pasay, 64-59, in the 2025 Final to win its second title in two years in the annual 19-under basketball tournament.

Despite being ejected in the second half of the all-important ball game, Angelino Mark’s 32-piece was more than enough to steer Select-USA to the title. The duo of Cody Shen and Caelum Harris also helped the cause with seven points each.

Kieffer Alas turned in 20 points, two assists, two rebounds and a block for the Pasay squad but his effort just wasn’t enough to derail FilAm Nation’s bid.

Bonn Daja of Phenom Blue Fire finished with seven points and 12 rebounds and also won the Best Defensive Player plum.

Mark of FilAm Nation Select also won the Ato Balodato Most Outstanding Player award for his efforts.

New Division 2 champion crowned

Top Flight Sports-Canada, though, was unsuccessful in bringing home the Division 2 title after bowing to St. Jude Dasmariñas-Cavite in the finalè.

St. Jude defeated Canada, 93-88, to stop Top Flight Sports from winning the Division 2 championship for a second straight year.

Nexel Aguilo was all over the court in the most important game of Cavite with 23 points, five assists and four assists in 20 minutes of action.

Stanley Gicoso and John Arvin Ruba also helped St. Jude’s bid for the title with 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Chad Gammad exploded with 30 points and five rebounds for Top Flight but it was all for naught.
