The Kooks

We’re kooky for The Kooks (sorry not sorry—had to drag that pun out of the indie archives). They’re going unplugged-ish, stripped back, and making sure your blurry iPhone torch moment at the back of the room still hits the band straight in the feels. But this isn’t just a vibes tour—frontman Luke Pritchard is out here basically wearing a metaphorical Superman cape, fighting the good fight to save independent music venues.

They’re doing a wild nine-show run—some days with double sets, like afternoon and evening vibes—and one of those stops? Sheffield’s The Leadmill. Yeah, that Leadmill. The one that’s been home to legends like Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys before they were arena-sized heartbreakers. Sadly, the venue announced its closure after losing an eviction battle back in February, and this might be one of the last chances to see it shine.
