MOAs have been calling September ‘Yeonjun month’ for a few years, and he’s decided to take that literally. In September 2024, we get the release of his debut solo OST, ‘Boyfriend,’ his 25th birthday, and perhaps best of all, we’ll be treated to Yeonjun’s solo debut mixtape, GGUM!

TXT’s Yeonjun is an all-rounder with an already-iconic style and personal brand. These factors make a mixtape the perfect way for him to debut as a soloist. We’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time and can hardly believe it’s happening! We can hardly wait another moment, so these are the clips we’re rewatching, and we reckon you should too, to prepare you for how much the 4th Gen It Boy is about to shake up the K-Pop scene.

Studio Choom Artist Of The Month

This list wouldn’t be complete without one of Yeonjun’s first-ever solo ventures: his appearance on Artist Of The Month. In July 2021, Yeonjun was selected by Studio Choom, and it remains one of the highest-viewed AOTM clips. It was one of the first times Yeonjun’s talents were showcased on a solo platform, and it set the scene for many things to come.

‘3D’ Cover

Yeonjun’s end-of-year season was beyond intense in 2023. In addition to all the work and performances TXT did, Yeonjun had three cover stages (‘Guilty,’ ‘3D,’ and ‘Gotta Go’ with Beomgyu) and hosted Gayo Daejeon on Christmas Day. His performance of ‘3D’ was so perfectly on brand and felt in line with what we might one day expect from his solo work.

Make It Happen Documentary

Talking about Yeonjun’s 2023 covers without mentioning the Make It Happen documentary would be criminal. When we said the 2023 end-of-year season was intense, we meant it. This doc shows the behind-the-scenes of Yeonjun’s hard work, including when he was so exhausted he ended up visiting the hospital. Whilst, of course, this is horrible to see, it’s also a testament to Yeonjun’s character and determination.

GGUM Mixtape Intro Film

Last but not least, we obviously think you should check out the GGUM Mixtape Intro Film. And then watch it again about 913 more times. It’s an artsy, youthful piece of storytelling, and we couldn’t love it more if we tried. The film shows Yeonjun’s gritty side and we even see him throw a couple of punches. Some shots replicate those used in Yeonjun’s introduction film back in 2019, so they’re really tugging on our heartstrings with this one. It’s just got us even more excited for when GGUM drops on September 19th!
