You can’t miss this indie-pop trio, because they’re always dressed in such bright colors. But their vibrant looks are not all Trousdale caught our eyes for. Their debut album Out Of My Mind was a masterful blend of indie pop and country, and the angelic harmonies give the album an edge that other artists don’t have.

We’re big fans of Out Of My Mind here at The Honey Pop, so allow us to share the excitement for their upcoming sophomore album Growing Pains. Out April 11, we can’t wait to welcome spring with what’s sure to be a new favorite. Until then, let’s talk about the title track, out now!

‘Growing Pains’

This song is everything we love about Trousdale. Each singer gets a chance to show off their powerful vocals. And when they come together, it’s so smooth that it might as well be magic. ‘Growing Pains’ can hardly be defined by any single genre, but the lively melody does not bury the soulful lyrics. They sing about exhaustion, starting the music video out in menial jobs at a gym.

Soon, they suit up in their signature blue, green, and pink, and they take on the boxing ring themselves. They’re not about to let anything bring them down. And the album, it seems, will explore similar themes of “loneliness, broken hearts, loss, and more.” All set, of course, to their classic upbeat music that makes it hard to remember that we were ever upset about anything in the first place.

Growing Pains Tour

We already know this album is something we will need to hear live. And from the one track we’ve heard, and the vivacious, sunny cover that fits what we’ve come to love about Trousdale, we’re thinking spring/summer is the perfect time to hear it. Luckily, that’s exactly what we’ll be able to do! The announcement of their headline tour puts them on the road from April 30 to June 21, 2025.

Trousdale has partnered with the Ally Coalition on behalf of The California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund. $1 from every ticket purchase to Trousdale’s Growing Pains tour will go towards the effort to aid California’s most affected and underserved communities.

So give us one good reason not to purchase a ticket now to see three show-stopping women and one passion-filled concert! We’ll be back to discuss the album when it drops, but until then let us know on our socials what you think about the song. Find us at @thehoneypop on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
